The Mohawk Trail Challenge - Food Drive 2021
About the event - We are conducting two concurrent trail rides on NJov 27, that are best described as Endurance Challenges for drivers and their 4x4s. We provide over 8 hours of wheeling and touring in the beautiful Berkshires of Massachusetts, in remote areas along the Mohawk Trail for this trip. This event kicks off at 9 am and may continue as late as 10 pm. (Yes, people will have opportunities to leave early.)
Mohawk 4x4 Adventures is going to kick off the fund raising by pledging $250 from our treasury. This provides a starting point of 1,000 meals.

$1 will provide 4 meals. 1 in 4 meals is for a child in Western Massachusetts. 1 in 5 meals will feed a senior citizen. Our goal this year is to raise $2500 in donations, equal to 10,000 meals.
To increase the possible donations, we are offering TWO different trail rides on Nov 27. All trails and roads used this year are on public property, and we will have a more difficult ride and an easier ride. Trail ratings are BLACK and GREEN/BLUE. Both groups will have a 12 rig limit to keep things moving the best we can. Each route could be up to about 50 miles of mixed surfaces. With spots for just 24 rigs, at $25 minimum donation, that is $600. THAT'S WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP! You will be able to share our link on social media to help make this a success, invite your friends with their rigs and help increase awareness and donations for the Food Bank of Western MA. If each attendee can raise an extra $100 from friends and families through our link, cash or checks (made out to Mohawk 4x4 Adventures, Inc) we can easily meet our goal.
All vehicles must be registered for road use in their home state and have a current Massachusetts Off-Road registration to participate, as required by the law and our club. For more information, click here: https://www.mass.gov/atv-and-snowmobile-registration
Always remember to bring food and water, extra clothing for unexpected weather and the required equipment for safe off-roading AND YOUR CAMERAS!
Rig Requirements For All:
- Full size spare to get you safely off the trail
- Tow Strap (No metal hooks allowed, no chains allowed, no lifting slings)
- Fire Extinguisher
- First Aid Kit
- 29" or 225/75R16 MINIMUM tire size - we recommend larger tires, but we can accomodate this minimum size.
- Secure recovery points, subject to inspection by your trail guide(s).
Rig Requirements for BLACK trails
- 33" tires, two lockers and a winch OR 35" tires, winch and one locker
We highly recommend skid plates, armor and rocker protection for all rides. Weather changes trail ratings, be prepared!
Once you RSVP on this website for your trail position, a confirmation is emailed to you with the event address and meeting details.
